Lynn Larson
Lynn's paintings are filled with clarity, color and vibrant energy. She is best known for her large floral watercolors.
As a young Catholic nun, Lynn studied art and design at Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles, California. There, Lynn worked with artist and printmaker Sister Corita's Kent.
Lynn was first a serigrapher, hand pulling large folk-art-inspired prints in her garage in Southern California, and later in her studio in Carmel Valley. In the 1980’s, she turned to watercolor and drawing and began focusing on floral and colored pencil drawings. The painting struck a cord with many collectors.
Lynn’s paintings grace the walls in homes, restaurants, and hotels in several countries and throughout the United States.
Locally, her work first gained public attention when she designed and painted the first Examiner Bay to Breakers running poster in 1982. Subsequently, she created posters for Highlands Inn, The Nature Company, Moscow International Marathon, just to name a few.
She is currently working with author and co-illustrator, Sanda Faulkner, to complete the illustrations on a children’s book:
The Adventures of Amelia True heart.
